Here's a bit of fun. Tell us what valuable lessons you've learnt,or knowledge gained from your viewing choices.
I'll kick things off by declaring I will not ever live on or near a cornfield. If it's not bad enough you have dangerous machinery to deal with, there's the damn scarecrows. That's if you survive getting slaughtered by the local kids.

If more than two people disappear from your group when you're out in the woods, get the others out of the area as quickly as you can and don't stick around to see what's causing the disappearances. Leave that to the expendable folks like the locals.
(from Piranhaconda, which was last week but it's the only one with a lesson I can remember I watched recently.)

If you're black, just get the hell out of there - Any horror movie with a black person.

If somebody gets naked, drinks, or does drugs leave immediately. Especially if she's ridiculously hot and way out of your league. You are going to die, and probably right in the middle of boning.

I just learned from TCM 2 that you should not try to lift someone out of a deep hole or pit in the ground by using a decaying arm. It just may break. But then again...I already would have known that because I'M NOT A COMPLETE FFFUUUUCCCKKKINNGGG MORON!!!! Nice going Dennis Hopper.

I enjoyed it overall. It's nothing like the original but I had heard that for years before seeing it so I was fully prepared.

After watching the first 5 minutes of TCM2, I learned to never watch it again.. I learned you don't give movies a chance, as that actually kept me wanting to watch the movie more and more and found it to be an awesome experience because of those first five minutes.

Two things I learned from the TCM remake:
1. If someone commits suicide in your car after babbling about something horrible happening...dump the body and get the hell out of the area.
2. Jessica Biel has the finest ass known to man.

Garbage! the greatest horror franchise ever. The shame. I wouldn't even compare the worse Friday the 13th with TCM2. If I had to choose between watching Jason X or TCM2.... Id choose getting my ass poked with Satan's greasy prick while forced to listen to Britney Spears music for all eternity. TCM2 is an embarrassment to the original. A little comedy goes a long way in horror, but when there is too much, it turns to crap, just like TCM2 did. Well, its not the type of horror I'm generally interested in, with maybe one or two rare exceptions.
