I downloaded this film the other day, finally got to watch it last night while I was at work. The film is obviously fictional, though it does mix "supposed" live footage of several video taped interviews with individuals who are seeing strange things in their sleep. They all share a common vision of a while Owl which visits them every night, perching outside of their windows.
We come to find out that these are implanted memories, used to blind the victims from seeing what is rally happening. The film follows the current trend of film making used in The Blair Witch Project, but in a different kind of way, mixing footage of "actual people" and live action film making with actors.
I thought the movie was pretty damn good, scared me several times, at the time I was parked on a long stretch of dirt road where there was very little light. Normally if I see a shadow being cast upon my car I wouldn't think much of it, but during one of the most intense scenes of the film this sort of thing happened again. Needless to say I quickly turned my head to see where the hell the shadow that had flashed across my windshield had come from.
Anyone interested in the idea of alien abduction will find this movie very interesting, especially one scene which really made me jump when I saw it......I won't tell you what that was, but lets just say it was a sight of something amazing and not the result of some loud scare sound, a technique which is unfortunately overused in film these days.
Like I said when I first heard about its release, any movie that mixes Alien abduction theories and Sumerian mythology has got to be good.
