LOL, huh?
Well yeah of course it's only going to work if the girl likes you in the first place, but of course I doubt she'd go on a date with you if she didn't. And I'm not saying the movie would get the girl hot, lol, I'm just saying it's a date. It won't fly with most girls as a date if I'm like "ooh let's go up to my room and watch a dvd."

Depends too what you grew up with (old fart warning) - if, like most of you fellas I'd grown up in the era of VCRs and DVDs, going to the pictures would probably be less of a habit than it is for me.
And when the towering injustice of Toad's failure to win the lottery is corrected I am going to open my own arthouse joint, with attached cult movie/memorabilia store and I don't give a rat's arse how much money the bastard loses!

I grew up during the late stages of the VHS era and have with the beginning of the DVD era. I don't go to the theaters a lot, but I do have a lot of appreciation and love for the theaters.

Can't believe no one ever got interested in this. I'm a bit late with this post-damn RL kickin my butt lately. Any-hoo, I saw NOES in the theater on opening night when it was first released! I don't think I could duplicate that experience again!
