Dawn of the Dead has to be one of the greates horror movies I have ever seen. Who wouldnt want to be living in a mall? The only problem is the horde of zombies trying to get in with them. If you havent seen DOTD, then you need to get your butt to the video store, and them pop some popcorn, and get ready for a look int the end of the world.

Skip the video store and buy the Ultimate Edition on DVD. You need to have the European, original, and extended director's cut of this one. It is so good that I guarantee you will w3atch all of the versions more than once

I'm pretty sure that was one of his first DVD pick-ups, HNT, I know it was one of mine, and rightfully so.

This movie does rule. One of the first DVD's I bought. I still need the Ultimate edition, but that will just have to wait.

I waited on pins and needles for Anchor Bay to release this one because my VHS tapewas worn out, I had to buy the basic version to hold me over till the Ultimate Edition.

The Divimax version on DVD is holding me over good till the Ultimate version. I love the movie, but Im in no rush to get the Ultimate version. There are still tons of other movies that I want to see. Maybe I will wait till Christmas or somthing. I dunno.

Not really. There are just so many other movies I would like to see that I don't really feel like spending $40 dollars just to watch different cuts of a film. Sure I would like to see the different cuts and the doco that comes in the Ultimate edition, but with $40 bucks I could get like 4 or 5 different movies.

It is a must have. One look at how different each of the three cuts of the film is will change your mind LDC. THe European cut seems like a completely different film. I don't like it as much overall, but it does have more of the Goblin soundtrack, so I watch it alot for that reason

I have to sympathise with LdC. Toad also hasn't got the Argento cut of DOTD... have been investing spare cash in new titles at the moment, rather than different editions of the same film. I'll get there though.

Yeah, it definitely makes sense to spend your money on addiitonal films instead if you want. It is a perfectly reasonable approach. The collection simply screams class at every level, though. There are very few films that I would have bothered to buy multipole versions of like this. Come to think of it, this might very well be the only one

Sadly, I still have yet to upgrade from my fuzzy VHS copy!
