LOL I've been waiting for it since it went to theaters, and besides, I like to think patience is the one quality I've been blessed with. I waited 9 years to see The Beyond, I can wait a couple more weeks. I'm just pissed a little that it disappeared from pay-per-view about three months ago and hasn't shown up yet. That's what's been getting to me.

Caught up with this one over the weekend, and quite frankly, I'm siding heavily with you guys on this one, on the condition I liked it a little more than the board. By no means is this a great film, just one with a shit-ton of flaws: the constant cursing for the sake of it, the unbearably long time it takes for a kill to finish off, the failure to derive suspense from the stalking scenes, the utterly unneeded character of Loomis in the story, the complete lack of being able to see what's going on in the kills, the nonsensical finale, what was going on with the ghost of the mother and son, the family relationship at the beginning just being flat-out boring, and so much more. I did like parts of it, as the body count was quite nice, the gore is quite brutal when we see it, and a few scenes were a little exciting, but overall, this one was still a mess. Still not sure which one was better, this or part 1, and I have little desire to find out.

The first time I saw it was in theaters and I was stoned off my ass. Luckily I didn't pay to get it because I hated it. I just recently burned it on DVD and re-watched it for the hell of it.......and I actually like it a lot more on the second viewing. Shit is just so ridiculous its awesome. C'mon, homeless Myers, fuck'n ghost mom with a random horse, and Loomis being a rich jerk. Plus the chicks in the movie wearing Black Flag t's and shit. It's gotta be cool.

I'd love to be able to know what I thought of something stoned off my ass, but it means I have to sit through crap like this, I'm not that interested.

It's funny, usually when your high it makes things even more interesting but on the second viewing when I hadn't smoked anything, I found myself loving the movie for all the reasons I hated it for on the first viewing. I guess lately I've come to appreciate the bad and the horrible in most movies. It makes them more fun that way.

Well, I love crap actually without taking anything, stuff that's just so cheesy and bad it's a lot of fun, but yet it's not in the "I want to make fun of it" kind of mentality. That's the thing, I don't really make fun of anything, I just get taken in by the whole experience even though how it appears is just pure crap.

Yea, most of the time when I smoke and watch stuff I end up being more critical. Not always, but a good amount of the time. I love the cheese and bullshit too. I get taken into it but I've never really taken movies that seriously so I do enjoy laughing at the movie itself in general even if I am enjoying it.... or some times I just enjoy it because it is so bad its awesome and brings the mad lolz.

No, it's not even getting to that point for me. It's just a matter of recognizing what's going on to be able to make that scene when being filmed, but still getting caught up in the action it's supposed to suggest. That's what I'm getting at.
