On a scale of 1 to 5, 1 being the worst, 5 being the best.

I give this one a 5. I really like it. Except for the original, it is my favorite of the series.
Gee CK, why wouldn't you wish to elaborate further on your feelings about this one? I can't imagine, lol

I hated this movie. I would have gave it a 0, but I gave it a 1.

I liked it, because I liked the fact that it actually went along with the original idea. It isn't a great movie by any means, and has its problems. But I will give it a three.

I gave it a 1/5... I just didn't like this movie...I was takin out of the movie the first time I saw it because I was waiting for Michael to come out... Now, remember I saw this when I was really young, and I didn't have any knowkledge of the original idea (just like most of the public)...I think it's a cool idea to have the movies revolve around Halloween, but they killed that idea when they made part 2... But, I did watch it again later in life...And I still think it's not that great...There was some good death scenes, but it wasn't for me...

Yes, they confused people with part 2 (even though it was a continuation of events). But it wouldn't have mattered, people STILL would have expected a Micheal Myers movie. Probably even if they knew about the original idea, they would have expected Micheal Myers to pop out somewhere. LOL.

Yeah, part 2 didn't confuse me, part 3 did... At least if I knew what the movies were suppose to be about, I would have been fine with them...Probably still wouldn't like part 3 though...That damn Silver Shamrock song...

I love the anti-consumerist slant of the whole thing. I'm definitely in the minority on this, but I really think it is fun, and not without some genuine intelligence in a few (admittedly very few) parts

I dig H3. True, not what most folks expected and it is one of the most maligned in the franchise. It proably should have been released as Season of The Witch and as a stand-alone film.
One of the reasons I groove on it is that it has Tom Atkins in it. He is one of my fav actors and is in fine form in H3.
It tries hard for suspense and mood, tho not completely successful and it has a downbeat ending, which is a homage to the original ending that director Don Segal wanted for the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
Give it a 5, no hand jive.

That good huh? I have never seen it, and as I said elsewhere I gave up on the franchise altogether after H2 which I thought was recycled crap. The other thing that makes me suspicious is that H3 here is rated 'M' - or 'recommended for mature audiences of 15 or over'... a bit similar to your PG-13 I think. The reason given for the rating is ''adult themes'' which to me does not exactly scream classic horror. I know members are divided on this one, but someone convince me I need to hunt a cheapie copy of this down somewhere and approach it with an open mind.

I think it is a solid B film. The performance of Atkins as a doctor who is going through a marital crisis (and likes to tip a few back) and suddenly thrust into a extraordinary turn of events is spot on and that of Dan O'Herlihy as the sinister Conal Cochran elevate the film a notch or two form the sub-standard horror schlock during that time. It's not great cinema, not by any means, and I have to admit, I give it high marks for nostalgia reasons being that I was 15 or so when the film came out and had seen my first R-rated film in the theater a year prior and that film was Halloween 2! I saw H3 on video-tape, whilst baby sitting my niece and nephew and had the whole house to myself and plenty o' junk food on hand and it was October and 'nuff rambling.........!

I love the Halloween films, and when I first saw H3 around the age of 11 or so I was a bit confused. I wanted Michael Myers to come out but he never did. Afterwards I kept checking the box to make sure it was Halloween. lol. I didn't care for it at all. I watched it a couple years later though and actually enjoyed it a bit more. Its a fun B-movie, but not a great one. I give it a 3 out of 5.

I readily admit that my love for this film probably qualifies more as a guilty pleasure or a bit of nostalgia for a film that i really liked in my youth than anything. THat said, it is quite entertaining and has a genuinely inventive and different plot twist. For my money, I'd take this over the 9,000th incarnation of Michael Myers any day

Righto. It's in the bargain category up the road for about $A10, so I'll pick it up and give HII another shot as well. Can't be any worse than some of the fly-blown crap that hides in my shelves already I suppose.
