He sounds a lot like Micheal Nesmith in that movie

Has anyone seen the original TCM on Blu Ray and know the quality of the transfer?

It is on Blu-Ray, but I haven't seen it, so I am not sure about the transfer CT. Are there any reviews on Amazon maybe?

Doesn't seem like a film likely to benefit that much from a high def viewing. It is the grainyness that gives it the documentary appeal that makes it so effective. In any case, I think that the ultimate edition DVD is pretty cheap and full of worthwhile features. This film is one where the features would be more central to my decision making process than the quality of the transfer

For me special features are the main reason why I buy dvds

Eventually their will probably be a blu Ray with new or additional special features but I agree there's no need for an upgrade anytime soon.
SUN 2 AM Update: Just watched the standard def ultimate edition on my HDTV through my Blu Ray player and it probably looked as good as it ever will...
