Mmmmm. Maybe I'm getting muddled in my dotage. An excuse to give it another spin anyway!

From what I remember, this film is definitely a step down from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre II. Just a bore to watch.

Let's put it this way:
I like Razor more than I like this film.
Yeah, it's that bad.

Are you sure you weren't meaning to post that in the Next generation thread 7?

I actually, I think I did have The Next Generation in mind when I said that.

Why, they're both actually really good when you take them out of context of the series. But even still, I think both are infinitely better than the original.

I'm a sucker for the original one, GL. I have sentimental memories attached to it and get all nostalgic every time I throw it on.
That said, the rest of the series has left me cold, and the humor of the second one was so contrived.

That's all well and good, I respect that, it just didn't do a whole lot for me and seems to consist mostly of it's reputation rather than anything of actual merit to the film. Most of what's been said about it is subjects that mean little to nothing to me at all and it doesn't have a whole lot in the areas I look at when I watch films.
