Well it definitely deserves to be over that piece of shit Citizen Cane. Talk about boring nothingness in that one.

Well, I don't really think that Eraserhead is the masterpiece that you do, but it is a very high quality film, and clearly the best that Lynch ever made. Some people are more devoted to David Lynch than I am (one look at Dune and it is clear that the man has his flaws as a filmmaker), but I do like it. There is plenty of room for debate on that, though, and if GL said he didn't dig it that would be far less strange IMHO than trashing Citizen Kane, which you both have done.

I've had no interest in ever seeing that one, and I probably never will so I can't say anything about it.

Oh don't blame Dune on Lynch, it was the producers that screwed the film up, the made Lynch cut the finished film by more then half and made him re-edit it to make it simpler, so the version that everyone knows was not the directors preferred cut. "Although Universal has approached Lynch for a possible director's cut of the film, Lynch has declined every offer and prefers not to discuss Dune in interviews." wikipedia David Lynch has since asked to have his name removed from the credits And your right GL you better not ever watch it
