I was recently playing around in YouTube on the advice of a friend's request, and came across the following bits of covers of the theme from Friday Part VI: Jason Lives. So, I propose this to you:
Which version of the song is the best?
Alice Cooper:
One Man Army:
Lordi:
Now, try not to let sentimentality rule your choice here and go for who actually has the best version of the song. Pretend all three songs came out at once or something, but don't use sentimentality in judging.

Didn't know anyone else did a version of the song Sorry but Alice' song is a lot better then the other two, especially the Lordi version, when I heard that I said to myself "Lordi oh Lordi"

I don't even need to hear other versions to know the answer to this one.
Actually there was an alternate demo version that Alice recorded. The music on that one actually became the Alice song Trick Bag which can also be found on the Constrictor album.
The demo version can be found on The Life and Crimes compilation set.

I heard that version I just dont remember where online somewhere I guess. I have that album Constrictor, it also has Teenage Frankenstein, from Corts death. Its a nice album to put on every now and then. Another Alice song I liked from part 6 was Hard Rock Summer. I never seen it on an album and had a hard time finding it online but eventually got it anyone know why it is as rare as a unicorn?

Just an unreleased track, The Life and Crimes of Alice Cooper is the greatest compilation ever, has all the rare stuff on it like that, plus songs from the horror film Monster Dog, which Alice Cooper himself starred in, though his voice is dubbed.

So you're going with the sentimental pick, exactly the opposite I asked you all to do with this. Figured.

I'll give it a look later and I will be objective about it and tell you my genuine thoughts. Can't exactly watch this stuff at work, but I will take a look later on at home. I promise I won't make a sentimental pick. In the event I pick Cooper, it will only be because I prefer it.

That's fair. I personally love One Man Army's version, but Alice admittedly does have a good song. I just don't think it fits right with him, too fast a tempo or something. Might have something to do with why I never cared for him.

So you're going with the sentimental pick, exactly the opposite I asked you all to do with this. Figured. It's not about sentimentality, but Alice Cooper is my favourite singer/musician in the history of music, this was the song that made me notice him, in fact it only is second to Dead Babies as my all time fave Alice song. It's the same as Megadeth's No More Mr. Nice Guy - I absolutely love their version - again it was the song that introduced me to the band, but it will never ever ever surpass Alice. Ever. It's like asking me if I prefer the remakes of The Fog, Assault on Precinct 13 or Halloween over Carpenter's. They have an uphill battle to begin with. Don't get me wrong I will listen and I probably will dig both of them, but there is no real competiton.

Fair enough, I guess. That's at least close enough to what I had hoped for.
And he is right, that Megadeth version is a waste.

Ok I gave em both a listen-
I like the chorus of the One Man Army version, but the verses not so much, although with rare exceptions I've never been a fan of growling vocals .Overall though it's not too bad a version.
The less said about the Lordi version the better,to think I considered buying their album a few years back.

Lordi is simply unlistenable. The One Man Army version is mediocre. I have to go with Alice, and that is saying a lot, because his version just reaks of 80's synth pop awfulness. Bottom line, the song sucks. Alice wins by having the least sucky version, not by being all that interesting
