But, of course it does. Part of the joke in casting several Jewish actors (Goldberg, Fran Drescher, Saul Rubinek, Chris Kattan, James Caan, etc.) It is very clearly one of the very intentional (and funny) jokes in this film. That is why its completely worth mentioning. It is one of the few things that actually elevates this film above the sum of its parts and shows that it actually has some intelligence going on behind the scenes. Two things that brings to mind: 1. You don't need to know they're Jewish to like the scene. Watching people getting mercilessly slaughtered by Santa is the fun of that scene, not who plays the victims. If you don't know they're Jewish in real-life, it's still a fun scene regardless. 2. The characters in the film being killed aren't Jewish. The people playing them are. It's a totally separate matter that has no bearing on the film at all.

wow, you feel very passionately about this one, GL. I wouldn't have thought this film could engender that level of emotion in anyone, even the folks who made it.

Well, that comes from having very little emotional attachment to people in films at all and being able to separate what goes on in the movie from real life. It's just a way I tend to view films, I guess.
