Anyone else following this horror/haunted house themed series on FX. There have only been two episodes so far, but it seems interesting to me. Could either turn out to be really dumb or really terrifying. I can't tell yet.

We watched the first episode, haven't gotten to the second yet. We enjoyed it quite a bit, some good ideas here and it had a few creepy moments. Jessica Lange was born to play crazy. To me, the biggest flaw is there was just way too much going on in that first episode. It's chaotic. Also some of the dialogue seemed a bit silly. The potential is there but I agree that at this point it could go either way .

I watched the first episode last night, and I agree with Jen,it tries to cram to much in.It actually reminded me somewhat of Stephen King's Rose Red,I guess with the mentally challenged girl.

Stick with it, Matt. It starts by the third episode to give you the explanations you need. It is not a perfect show by any means, but it is a lot of fun.
My only issue is I don't see how the same characters can be on the show for more than a season. The show has been succesful. Assuming they bring it back for a second season, I don't know how they will keep me from geting bored of these characters in the same positons.

I agree with HNT.....definitely stick with it Matt, it's flawed, but it's intriguing and starting to come together pretty well. I also don't really see how a second season will work, but we'll see, maybe they will figure something out.

We just had the finale down under this week,it came together pretty damn well. It's amazing to have a show that by the end of it,all but one of the main characters are dead(I was knocked for six by the revelation of Violet's death early in the series). And bitter sweet because in death the family was happier than they had been for some time in life. Very interesting to see how they go with season 2.

Hadn't even heard of this. Sounds like it's worth a watch I'll get to it sometime when I have the chance.

Did you ever get a chance to check it out, CT? It is a pretty fun show. I think that there is going to be a second season in a different house with a different family.

Not yet, i've got so many shows I want to watch including some I already own on dvd but still haven't gotten very far in like Mad Men and Dexter. But I'll keep this in mind for when I'm more in a horror mood.

I think that there is going to be a second season in a different house with a different family. Apparently set in a sanitarium. Several of the cast are returning, but in completely different roles.

That actually sounds very cool. CT, definitely check it out. It isn't just a dumb horror thing. There are genuinely creepy moments in this show (or at least there were a few in season one)

I know Jessica Lange has won a couple of awards for her performance in this. I can't wait until season 2. ;D

By the end of it, I LOVED season 1. Some shocking moments for sure.
Anyone watching this season? It's a weird combination this year....interesting to see how it will all fit together. And the creepiness is amped up for me.
Jessica Lange is fantastic.
