Yet another list from a bunch of jack-offs who think that unless something costs $20 million it isn't worth it and should be mocked, ridiculed and scorned. I don't think they understand that as long as you're entertained it shouldn't matter how it was made. It seems to be a forgotten art in this culture.

No way Killer Condom belongs on this list. That movie is straight up hilarious and was never meant to be taken seriously. Troll 2, on the other hand, deserves every bit of hate thrown at it here and everywhere else. It is genuinely a candidate for worst movie I have ever had the displeasure of seeing.

But....how can you hate Troll 2 with such brilliant dialogue..... "You can't piss on hospitality....I won't allow it!"

Who gives a damn about dialog when the rest of the movie's total crap? There's a difference between being badly made but entertaining and being badly made and insufferable, and Troll 2 is one of those.

Yeah, I know Jen, and I know that there's personal preference and everything but I just don't get it with Troll 2. I just don't get the joke at all about Troll 2, as far as I'm concerned it's just a piece of shit. I see it only as surviving based on it's historical legacy and that's just as ludicrous and ridiculous a reason to triumph a film as there possibly can be. I'm sorry and all, I just don't get it.

I realize that there is a small cult following for Troll 2 (I think mostly because along with being REALLY bad, it's so damn bizarre) but I think most people would probably agree, including me by the way.... that it's terrible.

I was told part two of the article would be out last Friday, but of course that didn't happen. They probably pushed it back due to their Valentine's Day sale. I think it's funny they plan to have a 50% off deal so if someone buys a $1000 gift card for $500 they will receive an executive producer credit on the next Puppet Master film (Axis Rising). This cracks me up. Charles Band is a freaking genius. So if I'm an executive producer does this mean I have access to Charles' sports car and yacht? And if so, will the puppets crew the yacht?
;D

Yeah, but that still doesn't explain why there's a cult following for it. There's far better films out there that deserve being noticed rather than some film like this. That still really doesn't explain why there's a cult following for this one, as I haven't seen anything that warrants it having one.

Is there a cult following for Troll 2? I really wasn't too aware of that. I think it is considered by quite a lot of people to genuinely be the absolute worst movie ever made (I think it may well be myself). Anything labeled as the worst will get a little bit of attention from folks who seek it out just to see how bad it actually sucks (just like some exploitation films get attention, not becasue they are good, but because they are notoriously graphic and people want to see if they are as disturbing as they have been reputed to be). This is no different. Some people out there want to see if this really is the worst movie ever made. I imagine that most people realize that it is, and not in a campy fun way so it is just a chore to watch it. I bet most people who check it out never make it anywhere near the end of the film before turning it off.

I've seen a lot of people out there defend it by saving that it is so bad you can't take it seriously and comments like that. Back when I first saw it about a year ago on other forums everyone was coming to the film's defense after I ragged on it so I know there's some out there that do like it and disagree with that assessment that it's hard to sit through ten minutes of the film.
Though I'm with you on this one, HNT. Being a bad film is no reason why a film should be remembered and I struggled to get through it. It's not like a badly-made film like the Sci-Fi Channel films I like where it's the technical side that really only hurts it, this one was pretty much a complete failure all around regardless of how cheesy and campy everyone was made to look like.

Oh yeah, there is a following for it, the kid that starred in it even made a documentary about the movie, the cast and it's fans.
But hey, you like what you like.....it's cool with me people enjoy it. I doubt many are declaring it a masterpiece or anything (except for maybe it's crazy writer and crazier director...lol). It would be pretty boring in the forum world if we all agreed on what is entertaining.

Exactly, Jen, as that was my original point in that even though I don't really get what the big deal with the film is, there's still people out there that have an affinity for it who defend it.
