Readin', writin' and radiation fill the schooldays of Tromaville High in this riotous sci-fi hyper-action big budget ambitious comedy. When the honor society turns on to some nuclear reefer, they transform into mutated punkers who just cannot seem to play well with other students! After a highly successful theatrical release, and two decades of cult fanaticism, Class of Nuke ‘Em high makes it’s premiere on DVD in a fully uncut and uncensored presentation, featuring an audio-commentary from co-director Lloyd Kaufman! Where crunching action, gooey gore, beautiful babes and subhumanoid mutations make the grade, Class of Nuke ‘Em High passes with flying, glowing colors! Features a special appearance by the Smithereens!

5 from me. this film ranks just behind the original toxic Avenger as my favorite Troma film. It is hilarious and loads of fun in the best camp tradition. Unlike some of the lesser Troma efforts, most of the jokes hit the mark in this one, and it serves as a fun parody of cheesy High School films from the 80's

Troma has tons of sales, so I would definitely pick it up next time a sale is going on if I were you.

I gave it 3. It's a poorly made film that is nonetheless scary, insane, very gross, and effective.

''Troma'' and ''poorly made'' is almost a tautology mate.
I'd actually this up there with Toxic Avenger, Tromeo and Juliet and Rabid Grannies as among their finest. Though it is a well known fact Toad's taste is often in his arse and is easily pleased.

''Troma'' and ''poorly made'' is almost a tautology mate. I wouldn't say that in the cases of Def by Temptation, Monster in the Closet, or Dead Dudes in the House.

YOu are right Laz, except that the films that you have cited are all films to which Troma bought the distribution rights but did not actually produce. Troma productions are almost universally camp classics

I know. But, Troma always says the movies they pick up are made in their "spirit" of independence. So, it's just about- if they had had the budget to make one of those projects, would one of them have made it? Who actually directs "Troma-funded" Troma movies anyway? Are they all Kaufman's films, him in the director's chair? He didn't even start directing feature films until the mid-80's - am I right?
