Did it die? What's with all the August last posts? Also is it safe to say Jaysif never came back after 2 years?

Razor came back, and after that, we started complaining of trouble in the saybox, and then everyone just left. Even CK deleted his account because of that. I still show up everyday, but never post as no sense replying to my own posts. I just show up in the hopes that some of us come back. So far, no one has.

Sorry, brother. This is a tough time of year for me as I am incredibly busy with work and school. I haven' given up on this place and hope that we have a shot at keeping it alive. Sorry to say, however, that the latest PM from CK does not bode well for our future. That is too many important members and posters to lose. We have no new people to replace those we've lost (as if it was possible to replace them). The place did pretty well for a while after we lost JAy, but I actually trace most of this back to him splitting coupled with moving the site from the original location.

I honestly get bombarded with pop ups everytime I visit this site. It runs so slow, and I have such trouble posting that I haven't even bothered until now. I check in, to see what's going on, but that's all I have time to do. It doesn't seem like anyone else is having that problem though. My pop up blocker must suck, but then again, this is the only site I visit regularly that gives me that problem. But I miss all you guys and I miss this place. Wanted you all to know that.

I echo those sentiments Jen. Sadly the old place was never the same for me after the move to 2.0. More recently the lack of admin control and general tidying opened the way for the kind of spiky bullsh1t we have seen in the saybox and from certain posters. Once the culture changed it became less of a pleasure visiting and the melodramatic gesture and PM from CK appears to have put a bullet in HMaM's head. I wish you all much love and happiness for the future. See you on facebook or not at all.

I think it's worth another shot. I'm willing to help run it and if at least five of us are posting I can recruit some new people. The loss of CK is obviously a devastating loss and he's irreplaceable but if we can come back who else knows what else the future can hold. Those of you like hnt who don't have much time can contribute just a few posts a month and still help out. Others of us can post frequently and attract new blood. If the saybox is a problem, trash it. I got thousands of hits for my entourage site I can get us 10 new regular poster over a few months time and that coupled with returns of some if not most of the old core could be a recipe for success. I have an iPhone 3gs which gets highspeed wireless everywhere and I can revive this place out of my pocket. I'm willing to take the initiative if I can have a few good soldiers with me. What say ye?

Count me back in as well. I think it can still survive, maybe not at it's former glory but certainly won't be dead again.

I am not a huge contributor on CLAD at times. It kinda runs itself. Doesnt really need me anymore. That being said, I will post here as often as possible as well. I invited a few people to CLAD because I assumed this place has seen it's last horrah. Not knowing you guys were gonna make an attempt to bring it back.
To spread yourself between two message boards is something I am not inordinately interested in. It just waters down my overall contribution to horror message boards in general. I also find myself just copying and pasting the same thing from one board to another.
Believe it or not there were talks between me Phantom and CK to join up and be one board. We were always brother boards so it made seance. Since I already created crystallakeafterdark.com years ago and it was the more ( no offense ) original and distinctive name, we were going to bring it all there.
Things fell threw because things got slightly melodramatic with CK and it never came to fruition. He recently came back and deleted himself yet again from CLAD. With absolutely NO reason. He felt he had to do that even though nothing actually happened at CLAD to merit such a drastic decision. He will no longer respond to my text messages as well.
I guess the merge will never really happen. The only reason for it is because it would create tons of activity. I have like 20 regulars who post ever week. You guys coming would bring it to 30 or more hopefully. We would have it all, really. Maybe people feel it's not being loyal but when I look around I can honestly say... what's there to be loyal too but each other? HMAM is in maintenance mode... it's not going anywhere. No matter where you go as long as you all go, it IS loyal to each other. Sometimes you just gotta do the logical thing in order to survive and move forward.

So what exactly happened with ck he pmed saying he couldn't be here because of the end of his relationship I can't blame him it's where they met. As for the two boards I plan on conti uing to post at them both. Hmam was always smaller than clad but I liked the closed knit community we had around 2006 and with a few more returns a few new regulars we can get that again.

I joined, but hesitate to post at CLAD just because I am not that big of a Friday the 13th fan. But I do plan to participate there (will someone whose favorite Friday the 13th movie is part 7 be run out?hahaha) Seriously, I will join in there. I don't mind supporting both boards, and I wouldn't have minded a merge.
But like CT, I loved that this was a smaller board, and that people were a little more close-knit than most message boards. And yeah, maybe we can get that back. Maybe I just don't want to let it go, because this is still the best forum I have been a member of.

I just logged out and logged back in....it didn't say that it was in maintenance mode like it did before. But I will send a message to Phantom at Facebook and check for sure.
