Well, I mentioned a while ago in the Martin thread that there were only a few movies that ever pissed me off; that being one of them. Here's another one. This was supposed to be a ghost movie, but instead I get psychotic children? What a rip. That the movie was pretty lousy and not all that interesting otherwise (that opening in the rain though is about all the credit I'll give to this one, it was fantastic) isn't going to save this one. A 2 and I'll be generous.

This was supposed to be a ghost movie, but instead I get psychotic children? Why was this supposed to be a ghost movie? I never read or saw anything prior to watching it that said it was a ghost story. I found this film creepy as hell. One of the better home invasion films, in my opinion, it has an outstanding build up of suspense. I give it a 4 (I think I even gave it five stars at Netflix the night I watched it, because the film REALLY got to me).

GL, I modified your post as it had a spoiler. And with psychotic children/teens racking up tens of thousands of murders in real life every year vs. The whopping 0 murders ghosts rack up, a movie about killers like this creeps me out much worse. Hard to be scared of something you know will never happen like a ghost murder. But home invasions by psychotic youths happen allthe time. But that's just what scares me I guess. Thought this one was great. Perfect length (77 min) for the simple story. Great acting, the two leads genuinley seemed terrified for their lives. Creepiest most effective take I've seen on this type of story angle. Actually reminded me at times of the original Halloween with all the suspense and even a few scenes where the invader appears as a dark stalking shape in the background. Also loved the ending stormdrain scene. 5/5! And yeah, I didn't go into it expecting ghosts. Maybe you read an inaccurate synopsis, or perhaps the official synopsis says something aboutthe supernatural, I forget...

I don't remember how exactly I came into believing that it was a ghost movie, I guess the previews for it, with the noises and such, gave it a ghost-movie feel and coupled with the early reviews comparing it to other ghost movies to describe it's 'creepiness' put two-and-two together in my mind about it, but even then I'm not entirely sure about it.

I will give it a five. Creepy, intense, and the two leads were likable. I can't believe ten to fifteen year olds did that. I think the movie was better this way instead of being a ghost story.
