Well I'm certainly glad to see that we have a lot of zombie movie fans on this forum, I too am a huge fan of these movies. From American zombie movies such as those made by Romero, to Italian made ultra-gore zombie flicks, right onto European zombie movies such as Murder at the Manchester Morgue, and even "so-bad-that they are good" efforts such as Hard Rock zombies.
Being a fan of episodic zombie movies, such as those made by Romero, I have put together a little marathon of zombie flicks, arranged to form one big zombie epic adventure. So if you want to spend a day watching zombie movies here is how to arranged them, forming a storyline of sorts.
There are several variations to the storyline, but they all follow a cohesive story, when arranged in this manner.
Version 1.0
1. Night of the Living Dead (remake)
2. Dawn of the Dead
3. Day of the Dead
4. Land of the Dead
5. Return of the Living Dead
Version 1.1
1. Zombi
2. Night of the Living Dead (remake)
3. Dawn of the Dead
4. Day of the Dead
5. Land of the Dead
6. Return of the Living Dead
Version 1.2
1. Children Shouldn't play with Dead things
2. Night of the Living Dead (remake)
3. Dawn of the Dead
4. Day of the Dead
5. Land of the Dead
6. Return of the Living Dead
Version 1.3
1. Zombie 4
2. Zombi
3. Children Shouldn't Play with Dead things
4. Night of the living Dead (remake)
4. Dawn of the Dead
6. Land of the Dead
7. Return of the Living Dead
1. Version 1.0 if you want the original, unexplained storyline.
2. Version 1.1 if you want an explanation for the dead rising, which of course is the traditional way, through the use of black magic/Voodoo.
3. Version 1.2 is just an alternate for 1.1 Still has the same explanation, both "Children" and Zombie explain how the living dead spread into the cities.
4. Version 1.3 is the same explanation as the above two, just longer.
Each version ends with ROTLD, the idea comes from what is said at the beginning of that movie, that everything that went on before was just a story to cover things up, that none of it ever happened, and that the story in ROTLD is how it really went down.
Yes I am that much of a zombie movie geek
