While on vacation at a secluded Australian beach, a couple's behavior toward the environment and to the animals living there eventually riles them up enough to force them to attack the couple, turning the vacation into a literal, waking nightmare. What did everyone think of this?

Also known as Long Weekend.
It's actually a remake of a 1979 Australian film, but does add much except a bit more pacing. Not one of the better efforts to come from my native land of late.

So, the version that takes over an hour to finally start it's first attack is the faster paced film of the two? Now if that isn't a damning indication of the original, I don't know what is.

The remake is almost shot for shot.

Only updating the characters so they're more modern-appealing I'm guessing. Even still, not at all looking forward to the original then.
