Undead. A zombie/splatter/comedy from my very own Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, written and directed (and financed) by Peter and Michael Spierig.
Toad - parochialism aside - loves this film. The Spierigs manage that rare achievement of blending horror and comedy together in a successful style at times reminiscent of Peter Jackson's early work. Great fun movie - especially the zombie fish scene.
Available at DDD right now for $12, and packed with extras.
Highly recommended

I've heard a lot of positive reviews for that one, and with my recommending NotLD 90 to you, I'll take your advice on this zombie film and stretch my already thin budget for one more film.

Hope you enjoy mate... once you get past the at times very broad Aussie accents. It's a zombie film, so that already garruntees a certain level of excitment in this one.

The Exorcist... inspired by Conan and his top 20 to revisit this one.
Mrs T and I watched this together this evening and I can honestly say despite 3 decades of celluloid under the bridge it is still an extemely powerful and unsettling film. I know some here laugh at certain sequences, but Toad - and Mrs T (who is somewhere on that broad expanse of theological ocean between a devout and a lapsed Catholic) - needed a stiff drink afterwards. Great piece of film-making.

Yea, I have just never enjoyed any films to do with excorcisms.
Mill Of The Stone Women. Great Euro-horror from 1960! I love this movie alot. Check it out if you get a chance.

I'm one of the few who laughs at The Exorcist Toad, which is only due to the MST I can pull on the film. It's because there's so many jokes you can make about the film that it becomes a much more fun experience. And yes, I was sober while watching it. Just watched: Frankenstein Reborn-Proof of the old saying, "If you can't be the best, be the goriest." www.imdb.com/title/tt0460800/usercomments-14Mansquito-Entertaining Sci-Fi Creature Feature, but too in love with it's cliches to rise above. www.imdb.com/title/tt0430334/usercomments-28

Highly recommended I just got this one from Blockbuster a few days ago......Seeker recommended it to me awhile back. Hopefully I will get to it tonight or tomorrow sometime, really been looking forward to it. Haven't heard too much bad about it.

Anthropophagus.
Didn't go into this expecting too much, and got what I expected. A particularly slow start with annoying characters and execrable dubbed dialogue. And the 'shocking' moments seem a bit passe now.
Though I think as GL said elesewhere - and I'm sorry in advance if I'm misquoting you here mate - it had not a bad premise and at times some reasonable atmospherics that would stand it well for a decent remake.

I need to grab the 2 disc set from Shriek Show. Big Cannibal fan here.

There's no real cannibalistic activities, LdC, only a couple of frames rather than scenes. It has the reputation of being one, but the killer isn't cannibalistic. And you and I have talked at length before about how nice it is the set is finally released but how non-worthy it is of it's 2-disc status. Glad you agree Toad, and you can quote what I said in your post there. It's quite fine with me. The Shaft-I love horror movies, I love Naomi Watts, why can't that pairing ever amount to anything good? imdb.com/title/tt0247303/usercomments-49
