A film-crew making a movie about a demented Finnish doctor who film snuff movies of him torturing patients finds the long-lost tapes and realize that one of them has been possessed by their spirits into carrying on their legacy, forcing them into a deadly struggle with the homicidal maniac. What did you think of this one?

I think I'll enjoy it more than you, but it's not a bad film at all, it's actually quite good. The film takes forever to get going, which is somewhat of a knock, and the low-budget does shine through quite heavily in here, but there's some inspired scenes here-and-there, the central premise is wonderful and it's a little unnerving at times, and once you get past the excruciating start, the film roars down to the finish line with a fantastic pace, delivering a ton of good stuff along the way. I just think you might be more affected by the flaws than I will.
And besides, it's from Finland, so I think it should be automatic to support a country just finding it's feet in the genre to help them grow and improve in the future, you never know if they'll give a fantastic effort in a few years unless we support them when they're first starting out.

Yeah, that's the other one that just came out (I have a thread around here for that one as well) but that's still my point: those are the only two Finnish horror films I know off, so they're just starting off in the genre and need our encouragement to continue on.
Now, if in five years time from now they've made a bunch of crap since, then we can take them to task since they haven't learned anything by then, but I say, give them a chance as both of them actually weren't all that bad at all.

I didn't really care for this all too much. I appreciated that it was a bit self-deprecating. But really, it was just tedious and a bit clumsy to me. I didn't find it fun, funny, or disturbing. I actually found myself forgetting who was who, and why I was supposed to care...LOL... Though I will say, I did kind of like the opening. I give it a 2.

I had that problem as well, since the accents made it really hard for me to get names out and it seemed that they were calling everyone the same thing, but I found the actions on-screen a lot more inviting and interesting (that ghostly haunting in the hallways after getting kicked out of the trailer while having sex was a prime example) and the kills were quite brutal and bloody so that usually takes precedent in my eyes.
