I like the LOTR trilogy a lot but I'm surprised you can watch them anytime. I can't because they're so long and sow I have to be in a certain mood. We have to spread it out over a couple of weekends, but I can always put the first or the second one in and watch them if I can't think of anything else to watch. With 3 dogs, it usually takes at least an extra hour or so to make it through ANY movie these days.

My list really hasn't changed (hence the reason its a default list). I would probably have to add The Sopranos, Mad Men, and Breaking Bad to the list, though. I find myself watching a lot more television shows, because 45 minutes at a time is a lot easier to spare than multiple hours to watch my standby movie choices.
Speaking of this, I have noticed that my tastes are not nearly as sophisticated as I want to convince myself that they are. I have a DVR full of all time classic Bogart, Spencer Tracy, Marlon Brando, Orson Welles, etc. films that I have recorded off of Turner Classic Movies. And they sit on my DVR forever while I watch stupid comedies and horror films over and over again. Anybody else have this "issue"?

I'm the same way HNT.....the thing is I can watch horror movies (and most of the time fantasy) no matter what, most other kinds of film I have to be in a really specific mood for. And we also watch a lot of television for the same reason.

Lately, my default has been Howard TV. I don't know why, but I can just sit down and watch the Stern show for hours at a time. Mostly, because it is a filmed radio show so it is easy to just listen while I do other things. For me, it is a much better deal to get the television broadcast than Sirius, because I don't drive to work, I often go to court in the morning instead of the office, and when I am in the office in the afternoons I can't really be listening to stuff like that in front of the clients.
