When a returning space shuttle's contents of a space vampire get loose in London, the authorities track down the lone survivor of the expedition to help them understand the creatures' motives as it rampages throughout the city. What did everyone think of this one?

A lot of people rave about this, but I remember being not to fussed by it when I watched a few years back. Scream Factory have a new edition out in June so I may pick it up then and give it a another chance.

I think everyone was won over by the nudity of it more than anything (I was guilty of it myself at times) but it's got some problems that really can't be overlooked which drag it down considerably. I'd say give it a look, can't hurt too much to do that.

It certainly wasn't very good in my opinion, but it was entertaining enough as a cheesy B film. It makes no logical sense, but Railsback is always entertaining even in garbage so its worth a look. Plus, as GL said, there is a fair amount of nudity and sex if that floats your boat.

Love this movie and always have since seeing it rented on VHS in the eighties. It follows in a great tradition of science fiction horror genre mash-ups that are dear to British TV and cinema (established by the likes of A For Andromeda, Nigel Kneale's Quatermass films and early Doctor Who stories such as The Ambassadors of Death and The Web of Fear).
The scenes of carnage in London towards the end are still, in my opinion, yet to be bettered by any modern flick.

Well, all the info I read on it said there's a different cut of the film in your market than ours so maybe that could be the case there since I've yet to see any kind of marketing on our DVD covers about it being uncut. In fact, I had to use yours for the thread picture so there's something to that.

It's true that there was a much longer European cut which is on the UK DVD release, but it's non-anamorphic so sadly looks shit on a decent modern TV. The good news is that the new US blu-ray release has both versions (International and much shorter and generally messed with in other ways US theatrical cut as an extra). Not sure about the DVD counterpart though.
UK Blu-ray emerges in September courtesy of Arrow Video.

Wow, if that's true I'll have to keep an eye for it. If that version bumps up the destruction of London in longer scenes it should be a lot of fun.
