Zombie Honeymoon
I expected the worst with this, was nearly surprised with some reasonable acting and production values, but ultimately got what I expected. The plot, as such, revolves around two newlyweds who head off to a beach house for their honeymoon. On the first morning the husband gets attacked on the beach by a zombie that emerges from the surf. The said undead person chunders blood and bile into hubby's mouth. Hubby dies, then wakes up in hospital undead himself and with a hunger for human flesh. Wifie is none to impressed when she comes back from shopping to discover her new spouse in the bathtub chewing on a passing jogger's internal organs, but sticks by him anyway. As you would. It all goes very pear-shaped as the body count rises. Yawn. Not funny. Not scary. A fair bit of blood and torn flesh for the gore-hounds, but nothing out of the box. And not black enough to be really engaging. And nor is it some deep exploration of just how far love will go - just silly actually. Forget it.

I guess this one does not get the Toad stamp of approval then. Not moving to the top of my list any time soon now.

It's all very subjective comrade. But still for mine the best horror comedy of the year is Evil Aliens. Love that movie.
This was just tedious - found myself reading while watching at the same time.

I got a e-mail from these people asking me to review the movie. They said they would send me a screener copy so I could watch it for the review. I e-mailed them back and told them I would love to review their movie and gave them my info. Well a few months went by so I e-mailed them again and they told me they ran out of money and could not send me a copy, but I could pre-order the movie. After reading this review I am glad I did not order it.

I loved this movie. It's a tale about handling bereavement for people who don't mind flesheating zombies in their dramas.
