Who is really interested in Greek Mythology? And please do not continue the thread with something like "Bush or the republicans are againist it. They think it is a sin!" Let us keep this a stick to the idea thread!

Greek mythology is pretty cool. I personally know a bit more about the Roman Gods, but both are fascinating.

Aren't the Roman gods essentially the Greek ones with Roman names?

Greek mythology is wonderful. Kevin have you had the pleasure yet of the Iliad or the Odyssey? If not I recommend it... the rage of Achilles is terrible to behold!

Yes, Kev, The Illiad is magnificent and the Oddyssey is damn good, too. WHatever you do, though, don't watch that soft-core gay porn Troy. Actually read them
Oh, and is anyone else interested in Hindu mythology? I personally think that the Ramayana is the coolest epic of all

It is an Indian Epic poem about Vishnu (the most powerful Hindu God) coming to earth in the human form of Rama. It has action and romance and fighting and all sorts of great stuff. I would recommend R.K. Narayan's english translation. I think you'd like it

The Odyssey was one of the most boring things I have had the pleasure of reading....no, actually The Great Gatsby is first, then The Oddssey.
