Thanks for joining us here at Horror Movies and More 2.0!
You might be asking yourself, 'Why even bother? Wasn't the original good enough?
Well yes, of course it was. However, it becomes slightly difficult to manage a successful board 'without' an administrator. As you know, Jaysif has been MIA for a while now, and unfortunately, before he left, he never granted full admin powers to his dedicated Henchman!
Thus it was becoming increasingly annoying that i could never get into important admin sections for board modifications, staff positions etc.
And finally, a simple mistake (on my part...
) led to 'my' staff position being altered, and leaving me with NO way of rectifying it.So began the first stages of creating the new board.
"Horror Movies and More" has a long history, with a large group of members. Hopefully they, like you, will make the transition to 2.0.
The new board was created on the 13th June 2006. None of this would be possible without the help of my team of dedicated moderators, g-mods & admin support. Please refer to the 'Staff Legend' in the welcome table for the new staff colors.
The new board is set up almost identical to the last one, with just a few modifications. This is after all, 'a fresh start'. There are some new features, which you can check out in THIS thread. And i did take the opportunity to tweak some of the board backgrounds and images. (Though i doubt anyone would even notice.)
And now some personal thoughts of mine.
Although i am administrator of the new HMaM 2.0, i still consider this board to be fully owned by Jaysif. The copyright at the bottom of the main page even reflects this. Whatever personal issues he is dealing with right now, i am still hopeful that one day he will return to what he started. This was never an attempt to 'hi-jack or steal' HMaM away from him. I am simply 'keeping the seat warm' for him. I would hope that he approves of what i've done, and the reasons behind it. And i'd like to let him know, that if he ever returns, his rightful position of HMaM Mastermind is still here for him.
Well that's enough from me for now. I hope i havn't put you to sleep!
