It's class in a glass, utterly riveting, moving and with a shattering denouement unlike anything else I've ever seen. 5

This one is almost a perfect film in my opinion, one of my favorite films of all time. It took me by surprise, really; so twisted, so NOT what I was expecting. Definitely gets a 5 from me.

I picked this up on blu ray a few months ago on a friends recommendation but haven't watched it yet. Didn't realize it was considered horror but that makes sense now that I think about it since I did read that it was revenge story. Will watch soon.

I give it a 5 as well. It is truly brilliant and magnificently made. I can't call it a favorite film of mine only because it is too profoundly disturbing to warrant the kind of repeat viewing that I give my favorites. It is definitely a treat, though, and if you haven't seen it it'll kick ya in the nuts the first time through

I don't really consider it horror, it's more of a thriller/suspense film than anything, but it's a blend of several genres. It certainly has elements of the horrific.....lol. It is definitely a treat, though, and if you haven't seen it it'll kick ya in the nuts the first time through Have to agree, I was pretty blown away the first time I saw it.

This movie is awesome. One of my favorite's also. Have you seen any of Chan-Wook Park's other films such as Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance or JSA?

I am a big fan of the Vengeance trilogy, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance is almost as good as Oldboy in my opinion. I think Lady Vengeance is the weakest, but I still loved it. I haven't seen JSA yet.

Big love for JSA but don't expect something along the same lines as the Vengeance trilogy, it's a first rate 'cold war' thriller.

I've only seen JSA out of those. It was a great flick though. Still need to check out the rest of the vengeance trilogy. Been meaning to for a long time now.
