I usually never pay attention to red herrings. I don't know why so many people always try to guess who the killer is in these kinds of movies. I never do. I did a few times. And I'm almost always wrong. I have to wonder if he even knows what the term "red herring" means LOL. But that aside I have to watch this one again he said there was a chainsaw in this in but I dont remember that trivial as it may be. EDIT: I forgot about the chainsaw at the end.

Yeah, Pam uses a chainsaw against "Jason" at the end, only for Slasher Flick Cliche #2,304 to kick in: All handlers of chainsaws, weedwhackers or any gasoline-powered instruments not in the use of the killer will suddenly have it die on them in the moment they need it the most, despite the working prowess of it displayed in the moments before.

Well at least in part 3 all she had to do was switch over to the secondary gas tank. That was a first for horror. ;D

One of the few genuine ones in the annals of the genre, as this series containing a genre-first is pretty impressive.

I gave it a 3 I just didn't like the Jason fake out with the Roy character.

I agree Firestar, while the movie wasn't horrible, it was thefirst major letdown for me in the series. I mean 1 through 4 got successively better IMO.

Yeah it works as a slasher but not as a Friday the 13th if that makes sense. This one was where they started the run of gimmick Friday the 13th movies.
