I hope it's a remake of Halloween III: Season of the Witch! Me too. One of the most criminally underrated horror films of all time

I agree HNT. I'd actually be more inclined to go see it if it were a remake of season of the witch!

I'd sleep easier knowing it would be, but I'd still rather this whole production not get made. Announcing a movie sequel to be released only after the first week of the previous installment was in theaters for a week is a terribly crappy and stupid choice.

And how can a film be completed in a year or less and be done well? Not that they seem to be going for quality or anything...

Exactly. You forget stuff like that should happen over the course of a pre-production setting, wherein a film goes through scripting, casting, scouting, fund-raising, and then technical casting even before a film gets one frame of footage shot. Considering the lengths of both entries being over the 1 hr. 45 min mark, that's a lot of footage that needs to be shot for the scenes, plus you've still got the post-production stage of the film, where the computer effects are edited in, the whole film is edited itself, scored, mixed, mastered and then prepared for distribution. Plus, you've got the marketing campaign, so the film has to be completed in some form for a while before the actual release date in order for trailers and posters to be made.
Looking at all that, I doubt we're going to be getting anything that would be considered 'quality,' which at least the first two could be said to have. That's not even accounting for the fact that they'd be good films.

I hope it's a remake of Halloween III: Season of the Witch! Me too. One of the most criminally underrated horror films of all time I agree. I watch H3 each and every Halloween. A remake would be welcome just to rub it in the faces of the unwashed masses who diss this film!

There haven't been any updates on this for a while, although I must say after being pleasantly surprised by H2, I'll be very interested to see a Zombie-less continuation. Especially if Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer can replicate their MBV 3-D success

Considering what I've read about everything so far, I can only hope that this will be the best one of the franchise. They've made a good movie together, and they're removing someone who wasn't making good films. I'd say it's a win, but I'm still cautious about the whole affair.

Really? He's still alive? I thought he died years ago, I haven't heard anything from him in years. Oh well, no big deal.
**EDIT: Apparently, I was thinking of Dee-Wallace Stone's husband, not Tom Adkins. Still, no big whoop over this.

The last I heard, Farmer and Lussier are most likely gonna do Hellraiser first, then move on to this,so it will be a couple of years away yet.
