PC, occasionally iPhone, XBox 360, and PS2 for me. Although to be honest, I really don't play my PS2 much anymore, but it is still hooked up, so I counted it. I also would have done the same with my gamecube, but it wasn't on the list

My Nintendo 64 was the only video game system I ever bought since the games looked easy enough for me to pass, and it's the only one I still play.

PC and PS2 for me. Mainly PS2. I would like both a PS3 and an XBox 360....but not sure that is going to happen anytime soon. But I love PS2. Actually kind of new to it, since I really only ever played Nintendo and Sega Genesis before I moved up here. I'm not particularly good at video games. Except for Mortal Kombat and for some odd reason, Guitar Hero. Oh and Pac Man....haha.

It has been my experience that most people who actually know how to play guitar find the rhythm games difficult, because we instinctively try to actually mimick playing the appropriate chords rather than press the color coded buttons, lol. As far as PS3 and 360, I would suggest that there is so much overlap between the games out for them that you really don't need to own both. THat should make the choice a bit more affordable, especially since they are now both offering a $299.00 model. If it were me, I would probsbly opt for the 360, because you already have a bluray player and that is the PS3'sprincipal advantage. It is not backward compatable with your PS2 games, and there really are not nearly as many games released for it ias the 360. Even still, you can't go wrong with either one, and if you have become a big fan of the Metal Gear Solid or God of War series while you were playing PS2 it might be worth it to you to get the PS3.

I'm really glad I posted in here then, because I thought it would be compatible with our PS2 games. I'm sure we would have researched it more before the purchase, but still good to know, we were talking about this last night. That's why I said both. I really want that Xbox....LOL....but since we purchased the Blu-Ray player that streams Netflix, it seemed to make more sense to buy the PS3. I really love Guitar Hero (and Rock Band) but that makes sense, I'm actually quite a bit better at the game than Ron is (though he's getting better) and he plays guitar.

I love N64 GL. You have Goldeneye?
And yes 360 seems the better choice Jen especially since you already have a blu Ray like hnt said. So many great games and much better online capabilities.

I do have Goldeneye. Awesome, awesome game. It was the first game I ever passed, and I recently loaded it up and I just need two or three more levels to pass on 00 Agent for me to have passed the entire game on all levels. There's still a couple more cheats but those are kinda tough (I need the invincibility, double knives, double RCP-90s and one of the crouching levels, though I did pass one of the two that had that as a cheat so it's on the list if you look at it) but I was never into getting it for the cheats.
A couple of the other N64 games I have that I passed: Mario Kart 64 (probably my favorite game of all time, a ton of fun and I love it) Super Smash Brothers Wave Race Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire

If you enjoyed it, though, you should check out some of what they can do with the First PErson Shooter genre today. I think you'd be blown away and definitely have a good time. I know how much you love spaghetti westerns. I am playing through a game that is basically an interactive spaghetti western that borrows heavily from Django, the Dollars trilogy, and several other Italian sources, but puts a unique spin on the action. Plus, the environments look positively lifelike. You would definitely be a fan, man

Well, I loved Goldeneye because I was such a fan of the movie (I still consider it only behind Die Hard as the best Action Film of All Time) and several of the other FPS games I had didn't really do much for me. It was because of the movie tie-in that I had a lot of fun with Goldeneye.
Though that Italian game sounds like a blast. I'll definitely have to look through that one.

I still have my N64 and a copy of Goldeneye. Haven't hooked it up since I moved into my apartment a year back. The invincibility and invsibility cheats were a lot of fun on Goldeneye. Mario Kart 64 was my 2nd fave on N64 as well. Sadly I traded it away as a kid, I oughtta pick it up on eBay someday.
Investing in a new system is such a huge plunge these days. I spent like half my entire tax return getting my 360. Because you pretty much need the premium system, an additional controller (expensive as fuck) and since new games are $60 now you add a couple of them and with an xbox live subscription at that point you've dropped like 6 or $700.

Exactly, plus I still need to get my computer fixed (it's sitting in my room unplugged waiting for enough money to take it in and get it corrected) plus spending money, usual daily allowances and there's just not enough in my budget to cover getting a new system, which is why I'm still in the Stone Age when it comes to this format. Even knocking off that XBox live thing, that's still a lot that I need right now.

Yeah, I haven't even gotten xbox live because it was too much for me when I first got the system, and now I haven't been playing enough to justify gettin it. Luckily though my roommate has his own xbox and subscription so I can still play xbox live some. He's spoiled and his mommy buys him everything including his xbox and live subscription, lol.
Maybe you'll have the funds by the time the next gen systems come out in 2 or 3 years GL.

Yeah, maybe. Though I probably won't buy too much, I have a pretty tight schedule so that I won't get a ton of time on it, but hopefully I'll have this all sorted out by then.
I was thinking about getting Wii, was that any good?

The Wii is great. My sister and roommate each have one. A lot. Of fun as long as you don't mind doing a lot of moving around and sweating a bit although some games are mild and don't require too much movement. Definately a unique experience everyone should at least try.
