Haven't seen that one CT, however I did see the film proper last night.
I was very pleased with it. In many ways it is the freshest genre film in ages, at least that has reached a wide audience.

I love a good anthology and this was no exception,it was terrific how the stories weaved together so you didn't get the lulls that you sometimes find as the the new stories are introduced.Great to see a film that has an obvious affection for Halloween, not just using it as a 'cool' setting for a horror movie. In fact because of this film,I intend on being in the U.S. during Halloween at least once in my lifetime. And yeah CT the animation was great.

This film took place in Ohio where I live Matt! So if you want to witness an authentic Ohio Halloween it could be arranged...

I'm way late to the party on this one, but I finally caught up with it last night. It was loads of fun, and I am really impressed at how well the various stories were tied together so effectively. It was a really nice touch. If I can offer one minor quibble, it would be that the film seemed to adopt the comic book motif employed in other anthology films in certain points. It didn't make a lot of sense in this film, though, where there was no overarching comic book related back story to explain why some shots were devolving into comic strip scenes. Oh well, it is incredibly short, but it packs a bit of a punch and certainly held my attention easily the whole way through

Glad you finally saw it and enjoyed it. I think the comic book stuff was mostly a marketing ploy trying to sell the comic/graphic novel tie in they released. Does seem a bit out of place in the film.

Got to this one last night (better late than never, I say) and I gotta go with a full-on 5 here. Absolutely, utterly loved this one, as it does what most anthologies can't: make every story interesting and enjoyable, and really none of them are bad at all. Sure, some of them are a little better, especially the one with the college girl's and their dark secret standing out as the best for it's marvelous twist and stand-out gore, but every segment has something to love about it. With the kids' episode providing superb atmosphere, the old man giving a lot of action and some intense stalking with a fantastic twist and the newlyweds playing with some fun moments, there's something to be enjoyed here from all of them. Plus, add in a very rarely-used but unbelievably effective tactic of interconnecting everything together, with characters appearing and interacting throughout the segments, a brilliant idea and makes the comic-book feel even more effective. Add in a superb setting with lots of great Halloween atmosphere and visuals and a rather good sense of humor, this one is an absolute blast.
