Rumours floating around at the moment have that Twisted Pictures have aquired the rights to the character and are planing to bring him into the third dimension.

Ugh, can't I get Angelina Jolie in 3D instead of a dude wth dried human flesh on his face?
Thanks for the news though Matt, and now that I think about it some of the kills from TCM: The Beginning could have been amazingingly rendered in 3D. It'll just come down to how poorly it's written as a result of depending on the 3D gimmick for profits...

I was reading about this (what little is out there right now, as Matt mentioned, pretty much in the rumor stage right now) and it sounds as if this will be another remake instead of a sequel to the remake? Anyway, for some reason this strikes me as particularly ridiculous. They have gone 3-D crazy.

lol, great. Of course it is a terrible idea. On the other hand, they can't make a movie any worse than TCM: The Next Generation, so have at it I say. It won't be the worst movie in the series unless the film is actually a full 90 minutes of a dude in a leatherface mask sodomizing a sheep.

3D for me is a wasted experience, it adds nothing to a film and most times it actually makes a film worse. Can't we learn from the past 30 times this fad appeared in our society and let it go?
As for the film, until I know more, I'll reserve judgement.

Not another what, Firestar? Not another TCM film? Not another sheep sodomizer? Not another New Zealander (which apparently might be synonymous with sheep sodomizing)? Not another Flight of the COnchords reference?
Could be all of the above, I suppose
