LEaving Wenesdsy for NJ, and then heading straight to Boston Sunday night to be officially sworn in as an attorney on Monday morning. Then returning home and back to work on Tuesday. I am taking my first deposition on Tuesday afternoon, so maybe a little more preparation and less relaxation than I might have liked, but what the hell?

I am taking my first deposition on Tuesday afternoon, so maybe a little more preparation and less relaxation than I might have liked, but what the hell? Congratulations! Well, I think we will be eating dinner with Ron's family at his cousin's place, probably spend most of the day there. Then we are coming home, taking a nap, watching The Wizard Of Oz, possibly decorating the Christmas tree (I haven't decided if we are getting a new one yet, the one we have now kind of tilts to one side...LOL).....and then staying up all night watching movies until our very early shopping trip the next morning. Not sure about the rest of the weekend yet. So there are my incredibly boring holiday plans....

Sounds great, Jen. I don't know if it is a national thing or just local, but the movie theater near my house shows classic movies on the big screen every Tuesday and Wednesday 6:30 for very cheap. I have seen a few quality flicks that way (Cary Grant comedies seem to be a regular favorite). Anyway, last week they showed the Wizard of Oz in the big screen, and I have to admit that I've never seen anything quite like it. It was so big and colorful and still had the power to blow me away so much that I can't even imagine the effect taht it must have had on audiences seeing it that way in 1939

Congrats, man! Great job. Simple dinner with the family followed by Christmas shopping right after. Not sure what we're having, as we bought both a turkey and a ham, plus our neighbor usually gives us some of their left-overs, which is a chicken take-out dinner from KFC, so this year is really up in the air as far as dinner is concerned.

THanks guys. YOu all sound like you have great plans. Well, except for GL's poor neighbor who eats KFC on Thanksgiving night and then gives his leftovers to GL, but everything else sounds very festive and cool

LMFAO
Just dinner wth the family for me as well, but a four day weekend with two days paid vacation from work ain't too shabby. I predict lots of xbox live and holidy shopping. However, unlike some of you suckers Ill be doing my shopping online from my warm and uncrowded home.

Yes, shopping online is clearly the way to go for most holiday things. Problem is, some of the sweetest black Friday deals are only available in person. Still, I am not a big enough sucker to partake in that crap, so I'm with ya

Nothing wrong, man. Just sounded kinda lonely is all. I guess you didn't say that your neighbor was all by himself. It just sounded a little like that. Incidentally, the thing about turkey is that its a little harder to cook properly than people realize, and most people wind up with fairly lousy turkey. THat is why I run into a lot of people who don't like it. If you have a really good recipe for turkey and quality homemade stuffing, though, it is definitely a top notch meal

That's clearly HNTs subtle way of inviting us all to his familys for Thanksgiving! Pack your bags everyone! Just kidding, hehe

Seeing the Wizard of Oz on the big screen would be something really special for me. Problem is, some of the sweetest black Friday deals are only available in person. Yep, when I lived in Atlanta, I would never have attempted it.....but here its not so bad, and its actually worth it. We always have a plan, we actually don't spend more than about half an hour in each place. So to me its not really a big deal. But if we lived in a busy city.....I would avoid and just not do any shopping....lol.

For years, I only ever had Thanksgiving at my parent's or grandparent's place, and never could figure out why so many people didn't care for turkey all that much. And then I spent Thanksgiving at a friend's house one year.....wow..... Pretty bad.

Agreed. I've had both the good and bad varieties, and boy can it go badly!
I enjoy good turkey pretty well but still prefer it only certain times of the year for the most part.
