Of course... 5/5 One of the best horror movies, IMO... The only thing I really have to ask is...Okay, Michael kills his parents, then is in a instatution until he gets out on halloween, right? So, how is he able to drive so well? I mean he's like just cruising down the street stalking to girls in broad daylight...What happens when he runs out of gas, could you imagine working at a gas station and there's some dude out there with a mask and overalls on, just whistling and pumping gas...LOL!! I think that's funny...But, I still thinks it's a great horror movie...

It was the 70s. Plot holes like that didn't matter to filmmakers. They stopped to think people would anaylize a film that much in-depthly.
Best explanation I can give.

Seeker: LMAO....See, there was a time, I thought I was the only one that ran such scenerios through my mind. I never notice these things on first viewing, but after that, all kinds of interesting, funny questions pop up, which adds to the fun for me. My theory is, Micheal Myers is pure EVIL, and pure evil doesn't have to be taught to drive, it just KNOWS.....oooh spooky....hahaha...

Same here, Jen. I never notice stuff unless it's incredibly obvious (blade not touching skin when slitting throat, blood spurting out before instrument touches/pireces/punctures, etc) or giant plot holes on the first viewing. It's all on the subsequent takes on it, and even then I rarely get them.

Let's just assume Dr. Loomis had recently gotten a full tank of gas, and Smith's Grove isn't too far from Haddonfield!
5/5

I think you had to be part of the discussion when it happened to get that one, CT.

4/5. I like this movie because it started off the killer that couldn't die. Although it's not a gorefest, there are some hilarious moments. I recommend this movie. It has hilarious killings although, unfortunatley, there is a bit of nudity in it, not too much though. It has one of the best endings of the series though. Not the best Halloween film but not bad either.

It's okay, but it hasn't aged well for me. I much prefer the others, as they hold up better for me, at least.

[glow=red,2,300]It may not be the best Halloween movie, but the ending is superb.[/glow]

Agree. One of the few things that still gets me. The rest doesn't really affect me at all, but that disappearance is still expertly handled.

I think it is by far the best Halloween film. The only other film in the series that comes close IMO is 3 because it manages some originality by ditching the whole Michael Myers angle entirely
