Yeah it was never a movie that scared me even when I was little and watching it for the first time. But it definetly is the ultimate slasher classic and the one that led to the heyday of slashers and say what you will there has never been a spookier soundtrack to any horror film IMO.

Obviously its a classic and obviously it should get a 5, but frankly after seeing it so many times its no longer effective on a scare level. Thank you, another one out there like me. That's exactly, 100% how I am with this one.

Good the first time around, yes. The same goodness ten times later, not so much. This one gets old pretty fast.

It was one of the first movies that really got me into horror back when I was just a little guy, so I guess it has a lot to do with nostalgia for me. Although I did (yes, I know this sounds pathetic...haha) just have my own Halloween marathon a coupe weeks ago and it still held up well for me, and I think it was like my 15th time watching it.

Well, I'm not really one for nostalgia. The most I've ever seen a film is maybe ten, and even then that's pushing it. It could be lower, it might be higher but I feel safe in saying it's at least ten. Rarely do films stay interesting to me on even a second or third go-round, especially horror, so I don't tend to rewatch much at all, I'm always going on to something new since there's always new stuff coming out.

I could re-watch films like a mad-man when I was younger. Not so much anymore. I hadn't seen any of the Halloween film in a long time so I gave it a go. Plus, without any blank DVDs on hand for burning, it gets lame watching movies on a computer screen all the time.

Which is why I'm not someone that does that even. It's gotta be on TV or a DVD and I'm there. Otherwise, I don't really bother.

Well, when you can't afford to buy DVDs/Blu-Rays or awesome cable/satellite, then you just go with the next best thing. If I didn't have torrents, I would be completely out of luck.

Yeah, I hear you. Since I'm not on my own computer right now, I don't have access to all my music at all and the only thing I have access to is blabbermouth and my Music Choice channel to stay invested in what's going on. I can't imagine what would happen if I didn't have a TV.
