Between the two, my answer is Conan. Lenonis a complete dick. BUT, the truth is I say Letterman over both of 'em

I love Letterman and i find it a bit ironic that he's on conans side. Why? becuase this same thing happened to letterman. He was offered the tonight show but it would be at the end of lenos contract which was renewed every two years. So Johnny carson told letterman to not take the deal and move to another network and letterman took that advice. NBC is filled with dicks and this is just proving it.

I'm with you guys, Letterman has always been my favorite. Never understood how Leno best him in ratings for a decade straight. Conan is good too and NBC really screwed him. He's the future as I assume he'll be around after the older two retire. Obrien will go to Fox now and they will all three be head to head to head at 11:30!

I agree completely CT o'Brien is the future of late ight. and actually in the past couple of years Letterman has ben detsroying Leno in the ratings. Letterman has really changed since his surgery in 2002 and 9/11 affected him too. He's now really laid backa nd he and paul shacferr rock.

Man, I feel old now that I'm in bed an hour before any of the guys are on, and I haven't seen any of their shows in at least a decade.

Leno was on at 10PM for a while after Conan took over the tonight show. YOu go to bed before that, man?

The last night Cnan hosted was great. But you could tell that he was holding back tears. The guests were Tom hanks, Neil Young and Will Ferrell with the tonight show band one of the ZZ top guys and David spade. ferell convinced conan to play guitar with them and they sand Freebird ( but Neil wasn't there he sang one of his songs tho.)

Leno was on at 10PM for a while after Conan took over the tonight show. YOu go to bed before that, man? Well, I'm getting ready for bed about 10:00 so I'm in the process of shutting down at the time, and I usually conk out about 10:30, and my TV is timed to go off by 11:00 so it isn't running all night.

Yeah, Conans finale was great LF, I watched it as well. Actually, the entire final 2 weeks was outstanding. Sucks that his exit deal restricts him from being on tv until September! That's a long time to wait.

So now I hear Conans new late night show will be on TBS? That's weird!

On the one hand, not surprising that one of the larger basic cable networks is interested in seriously entering the latenight forray (right now Daily Show and Colbert are the closest thing on cable). On the other hand, though, it has to be a slap in the face to Conan, who already was struggling a bit ratings wise compared to Leno, and now is going to be on a network that simply can't compete with NBC or CBS in this particular arena.
What is he pre-empting by being on TBS? Them showing the 900th episode of Law and Order in a row?

Well FOX wanted him, he could have gone there but he chose TBS. He'll be on at 11, a half hour head start on Letterman and Leno. Should be interesting to see how it plays out.

TBS probably offered him more money. That Ted Turner is a pretty rich dude. That said, I am not so sure that getting an earlier jump is an advantage. If it were, wouldn't Leno have done better in his 10:00PM timeframe? He clearly didn't. I don't really know how it will all play out.
