What happened with CK and Speedemon? I thought they were getting along fine. And why did the site get closed down for so long? One day I signed on and it was locked.

I wasn't around when all that went down, all I know is CK doesn't come around anymore...

From what I was told in a PM from CK-

He and speedy split up (he never stated why, so I don't know) and he said that being around the forum would be too hard for him because it reminded him of her, so he deleted his account. If you'll go into the history, his posts are officially given as a 'Guest' even though Speedy is still technically a member. Her account is still up and running, but I haven't heard from her since the wedding. She hardly posted in the time up til then and I haven't heard from her since.

As for the site going down-

When a message board has very few/no visitors for several months, then it is put into what is known as Maintenance Mode, which this one was in. Only Moderators and Administrators are capable of fixing it, by posting new threads or replying or such, until it is deemed that the site is considered active again. If no new replies are made in a specific amount of time, then it is forever deleted.

However, I do not know how long it takes for a site to come out of Maintenance Mode, nor what the requirements are for that to happen. I just know that it does.

I'll PM you information about it in a bit. It's not a huge amazing thing or anything, and I don't have any more info than other people here, but I still wouldn't want to make a public post about other people's private business. As far as the site closing down, that was only one factor. THere was just a very slow period where we didn't have enough contributors coming in daily, the admins were not around enough and the site became full of spam, and Razor and a few other members were flaming people fairly often. All fixed now, but it was a dissapointing and unpleasand period there.
