Deicide (pure Christian hate) was awesome as always, Glen Benton's bass got messed up so he had to just stick with singing for a song. He had a really cool strap for his bass which said "Christ Killer" on it.......gotta love it. Finally got a chance to wear my inverted cross necklace The other 5 bands except 1 were very good as well. The bass player for Paris is Burning father died the day before so he couldn't be there, and their drummer bailed out on them at the last second, so it was just the singer and the guitar player, but I guess they scrounged together some type of drum machine and carried on and where actually very good with just the two of them, gotta give them props for saying fuck it, nothing gonna stop us from playing for you, so lets just do it. The band isn't exactly the type of Death Metal that I would normally listen to, but just out of respect for what they did I think Ill seek out some of their stuff. At odds with God had this skinny blond chick singer, who had one of the most brutal funking death metal vocals I ever heard, she sounded like Chris Barnes on Butchered at Birth. For those of you who who don't get that listen to this.........

I never liked Barnes' performance on Butchered, honestly. Too samey-sounding and it's not a memorable record the way Eaten and Tomb are. I think it's definitely the weakest of Barnes' work, even though I do enjoy a few songs off that one so I'll check them out regardless.

I've only attended two death metal concerts in my time. I found them to be not for me. On the other hand, I recently saw Morrissey in a small club show in Warsaw, his first concert ever in Poland! Then again, that wasn't very recent, I just haven't been to show in about 8 months or so.

The only big show I'm seeing is Slayer, Megadeth, Testament. As far as smaller club shows go, though, I see one almost every week.

Ive seen a dozen or more big shows, I even saw the first Monsters of Rock concert back in 1988-89 or thereabouts.
All I really remember is Metallica and the food fight that occurred between 30 thousand people

That Monsters of Rock show was solid. I was there. My first significant concert, though, was the Just Say Ozzy Tour back in 1987 or 88 though. It was alright. Since then, I've seen hundreds of shows. Some of them have been bigger shows where the bands featured are on major labels, and I have listed a lot of those on another thread in this section somewhere. Other than that, I try to catch local bands and support the local punk and metal scenes in my area pretty consistently. A lot of those local bands are actually really good, and I've certainly seen my share of acts that were nobodies when I saw them that went on to be superstars. Come to think of it, that might be a good idea for its own thread.
