My crappy LG Blu Ray Player just completely stopped playing Blu Rays Friday night! Grrr! It stills plays DVDs since I guess they use different hardware or whatever but don't buy LG anyone who's thinking about getting a Blu Ray player. I mean it was only $100 so I was expecting it to last only a year or two, but 2 months is all it lasted! I'm working on trying to get amazon to refund or exchange it, but that could take months so in the meantime I bought a new one. Didn't want a taking any chances this time so I got a high end Sony with wfi and an extended warranty. Already downloaded the lasted firmware for it and all my Blu Rays now play, even Che!

You should destroy the LG one like how those 3 guys destroyed the printer in " Office Space"

Something similar happened with our Samsung blu-ray player. It was cheap, and we bought it because we could watch films from Netflix instantly. Everything I read said it was a good player for the cost.....but I didn't research enough, apparently that was only if you didn't go online with the damn thing....as soon as we went online and got our first firmware update, it quit and wouldn't play anything. And apparently that was a common issue with the player. So we ended up with a Sony as well....LOL.... Since we have the Xbox we just paid for Xbox live and we can watch Netflix movies through it. Wouldn't have even replaced it if we hadn't already bought a few films on blu-ray.
