Well I finished watching the Lone Gunmen series (only 13 episodes), which of course was a spin off from the X-Files, and I am now embarking on watching Millennium, which was was also created by Chris Carter. This series ran for three seasons and starred Lance Hendrixen, this was the first and last television series he ever did. This marks the 6th time that Ive watched the entire series, once by myself when I first bought it on DVD, then again with my mom, then again on my own, then again with my sister and her boyfriend...and now I will once again be watching the series by myself.
One of these days Ill be watching it with Fire
Pilot:
Millennium is the story of Frank Black a member of a secretive group of men, many of whom formally belonged to the FBI and other law enforcement agencies. The group is obsessed with "end time" prophecies, Frank Black is a recent recruit into the group, having left the FBI some years prior. The group inducted Frank because f his ability to get into the mind of killers, some viewers mistake this for some kind of physic ability, when its simply a case of a man knowing so much about serial killers that he is able to see patterns that others might not.
The pilot deals with a serial killer who is called The Frenchmen, a sexually confused psychopath who frequents peep shows in order to prove his heterosexuality, his disgust at failing to do so in his own mind drives him to kill. The killer believe that he has been chosen to decide who lives and who dies, feeding this psychosis is his conviction in end of the world prophecies, he can be seen quoting from the Bible and from the works of Nostradamus.
The beginning of each episode after the pilot begins with a quote from a prophetic source, the Bible or other work, even our own modern prophet Charley Manson himself
Gehenna:
A billionaire terrorist wants to provoke the apocalypse into coming about before its time, he enlists the help of impressionable young men, under the guise of telemarketers they gather information for their leaders own twisted purposes. He too believes in the coming end of all life upon the planet earth, those who get in his way, or try to leave the cult are put into an industrial sized microwave, burned to ash and their remains spread around the local park.
