In the months following Donald Pleasence's death, director Joe Chappelle totally reshot the third act of the film. He also had all the music replaced with a more MTV like score. Actor Paul Rudd taped a new opening credit and narrarations as well. This is the version Paul Freeman intended. Never released in theaters, the producers cut of Halloween 6: The Curse Of Michael Myers.

Has anyone seen this version? I have been looking for it like crazy. It has never officially been released on DVD, but I finally found this place called www.fleshwoundvideo.com that carries their own version for like $15.00 plus $4.50 for shipping. It's a pretty sweet site and they have tons of other films not released in the U.S. yet like The Burning. Anyways I think Im going to order it from them soon. The Producers cut is supposed to have like 45 min. of additional footage or somthing. |

Does it loose the whole worthless Thorne cult angle? If they take that aspect out I might actually want to watch this one again

Im not sure. I think it might still keep that. But there is supposed to be alot of things different. Alot of people say they prefer this version.

Im dead serious. I typed in "halloween 6 producers cut" on google and I was just clicking on links reading reviews. The one at Arrow In The Head just happened to be the last review I read before I came back to the thread.

Interesting... Sounds like it still has too much Thorn cult crap but I'd be willing ot give this one a look and decide if I still hate it

Well, you said you didn't like it because they never explained it, this one sounds like they explain it more. Yes sir. that is precisely why I would be interested in giving this one a shot. I just intend to keep my expectations low as that is the only way not to be disapointed |
