History has seen a long tradition of new TV shows being spun off from other TV shows, so what's your favorite one? It must be based off another show to count, not a continuation under another name or a TV series from a movie. It's got to be TV-show-to-TV-show.

The Simpsons is a great call and probably the best answer possible, but since you already covered it I will say a toss-up between Maude and The Jeffersons. Both spin-offs of All in the Family

Wasn't there three or four shows spun off from All in the Family? I seem to remember that one having a fair share.
The Simpsons are a great choice, but I got to go with Fraiser. One of my favorite shows of all time, and I really enjoyed it for delving into the humor I find funny. Simpsons may get my biggest laughs, but this is one that's gotten some of my longest ones.

Another good one. I absolutely hate Kelsey Grammar the man, but the show is definitely quite funny

He is a right wing turd in real life. I agree that he is pretty funny and that Frasier and Friends were both excellent shows

I liked him in Down Periscope! The Colbert Report is a good spinoff from The Daily Show, if fake news shows count.

I'll call it, even though I've never seen it. TV-show-to-TV-show, that was the criteria, it doesn't matter what type of TV show it is.
And I loved Down Periscope as a kid, I think that's in need of a re-watch pretty soon. I think it's been a good while since I've seen it.
