I decided to start a new costume project, I wanted to start filming my zombie movie but I didn't have the costume elements that I needed and so I decided to start another Jason Voorhees costume for the coming Halloween. JLangevin from Frightstuff.com posted a tutorial for creating a zombie arms/rotted flesh look, now his project was far more detailed then mine will be, he used some kind of special material called Lycra. I'm only doing the last few steps of the instructions in his tutorial.
Here are the things I will need
1. GE 100% Silicone Caulk (clear) from Lowe's "got it"
2. Black, brown, and white Acrylic fabric paints from on-line
3. Tight black long sleeve shirt (still need to buy one)
Basically just mix up the caulk with the paints for desired color, the mask I have is sort of brownish and so Ill use the brown paint, maybe add some black or white to either lighten or darken it. then just spread the mixture onto the sleeve of the shirt, while I'm wearing it, the shirt (you may laugh) I might want to get from the women's or teen departments so that it can be as tight as possible (which it should be) as its suppose to look like rotted skin and so it wont bunch up.
The shirt should probably also be little short in the sleeves to help with the bunching up factor. Someone else suggested using tampon strings rolled in latex to use for veins but seeing that I already might have to buy a shirt from the womens department and not wanting the store clerk to think I'm some kind of freak, Ill forgo that and just use string.
Just waiting on the paints, these images are from that guys tut
