Yeah Creepshow 2 is no where near as good as the first one, I love all of the segments in Creepshow

The thing is Creepshow 2 is actually pretty good on it's own, but everyone has to compare it to the first one, to which it obviously comes up short and so it has a bit of a bad reputation. It's actually pretty good, but because of the comparisons, it's shortchanged unfairly.

While I agree that its not as good, I do like Creepshow 2 as well. I think mainly because I love The Raft so much.

I liked it but I don't think the stories are as good as those in the original

Part 2 is solid enough - the truly bleech entry is 3 the one that has no involvement from either King or Romero, and is absolutely terrible at every turn.
As the for the movie at hand I agree with the consensus that Jordy Verril is certainly the weak link in an otherwise thoroughly satisfying experience. Father's day and The Crate are my favourite stories.

There was a Creepshow 3!!!! Anyway I really only meant liking 2 better simply for me because of nostalgia. But you gotta give it to Ole Chief Woodenhead, paybacks are a bitch. Jen I couldnt agree more The Raft was some classic creature horror.

"mui ecological, Poncho"
There was a direct to video Creepshow 3. the less said about it, the better. Apparently, Tales From the Darkside move started out as Creepshow 3 before they decided to tie it in with the television show that Romero started. For what its worth, Tales was pretty bad ass

Yeah, the last story in Tales is the best, that Gargoyle is very very cool looking, they just released it on DVD with director nd Romero commentary

The gargoyle one was actually the lone entry in Darkside I didn't care for, I liked the mummy entry and the second one, I can't remember since I get that one and the wrap-around mixed up as to which one was which.

The second story in Darkside is the one about the cat outwitting the hitman

Nah the wraparound in Cat's Eye is the one with the cat having visions of Drew Barrymore and having to save her from the troll.
