Just watched Curse of the Werewolf for the first time, and that got me wondering what are some of your Hammer faves?
I rate Plague of the Zombies very highly,as well as of course most of the Frankenstein and Dracula films.
I guess even though the Hammer formula did get a bit repetetive, it was the strength of the scripts and the caliber of the acting that could draw you in and hold your attention, taking their time to tell you a story, without ever feeling boring, unlike many a modern film that gets to the point within the first five minutes.

I think they got better with age, as I personally prefer their later output as opposed to the earlier, more well-known entries. I love stuff like The Vampire Lovers, Lust of the Vampire, Twins of Evil (those which incidentally form The Carnstein Trilogy), Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell, The Satanic Rites of Dracula and Blood from the Mummy's Tomb. All of them are from the 70s and all are incredibly good.
The late 60s had some great stuff as well (Plague is one but you mentioned it already) but I also rather liked Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed, The Mummy's Shroud and my personal favorite of all of their films, Dracula Has Risen from the Grave. I love that one the most.

My favorite Hammer film is probably The Brides of Dracula. LOVE that film. Peter Cushing will always be Van Helsing to me. Curse of Frankenstein, Revenge of Frankenstein and The Vampire Lovers are some of my other favorites. Not sure I have ever seen Plague of the Zombies. Great thread title by the way.....

You'll find a lot of good stuff from what's been mentioned so far. In fact, compared to that one, you'll find it's very middle-of-the-road as far as they're other output is concerned.
