Having died from a mysterious ailment, a professor safeguards a valuable Egyptian artifact in his possession after death, but when the object is stolen by graverobbers, he rises from the dead to take revenge on those who have stolen it. What did everyone think of this one?

There are two films called the Ghoul, never saw this one, I saw the other one which I believe was either before or after, mostly likely after this one

Right, there's one from the mid-70s directed by Amicus' Freddie Francis with the same name, but this one has the year date in the thread so let's not get into that again.

I was just making an observation that I thought people here being horror fans would be interested in, and since I have not seen this one......well

Well, in an effort to avoid our Offspring discussion, that's why I include the year it was released in the thread title, to keep those incidents at a minimum.

Geez, GL, I haven't seen this film. Neither has anyone else apparently. Abraxas was attempting to have a discussion with you. Play nice, man

I thought I was, as I was merely pointing out that the reason I include the year of the particular film's release in the thread heading when you click on it was to avoid accidentally thinking we were talking about two particular films if there's more than one film with the same or slightly different titles. That was to be a key separator if there was a film named The Darkness and one called Darkness, for instance, was the inclusion of the year of release as to be one more final clue as to know which one I was talking about and wanting to discuss, since I don't understand how people can be confused as to which film you want to talk about when a simple practice can be applied to ensure it doesn't. All I meant with this, but if for some reason that exchange came off a little harsh, I am sorry. No hard feelings.

Having seen this one, I'll give it a weak 3. This one is just torturous to get going, as scenes either go on far too long than they should or are just not that interesting to watch, plus I can safely say that the acting in those segments really needed improvement (I can say that safely because of HNT) and looked a bit off when it really shouldn't have, but it makes up for these slightly once the killer is up and loose. Some nice Gothic imagery, his burial and resurrection scenes mostly, and him stalking around in the shadows coming up on the unsuspecting victims are quite nice, so there's some good stuff here. It's just got way too many flaws to keep it up.
