Well, it's quite simple:
Does the original Friday the 13th still scare you when you watch it?

No, and it never did.

Well, for me, this is the only classic Horror film from that time period that has any affect on me. I've seen this more than Halloween and TCM, but it still gets me at times. The truck ride there where we never see the killer's face despite being the driver and the stalking in the bathrooms too me are still quite effective and I do jump at them from time-to-time, whereas I've become numb to the others who I never really cared for to begin with.

At times, I would say yes. I definitely don't plan on going camping in my lifetime, that's for damn sure.

Seriously? Camping is a lot of fun, and very rarely do you get hacked up by a deranged psychopath.

Seriously? Camping is a lot of fun, and very rarely do you get hacked up by a deranged psychopath. Really? Because camping always seemed like it would be the opposite of fun to me......deranged psycho or no..... And since I never answered the question, none of the Friday the 13th movies ever scared me.......maybe because I don't go camping.

I guess it comes down to whether you're a nature person. I am so I really enjoy camping. I wouldn't go at this time of year because it would be too hot at night but certain times of fall/spring are perfect temperature wise. And a short trip of just one or two nights is best as anything longer can get old quick, but yeah it's fun stuff. It's a nice short getaway that's extremely cheap. Sitting around a campfire telling stories and roasting hotdogs and marshmallows for s'mores is awesome. Some herbal refreshments don't hurt.

Nature has bugs......bugs and I have an agreement....I leave them the hell alone and they leave me alone.....but seriously, it just sounds really uncomfortable to me. Ron loves it, and has tried to convince me to go.....I finally agreed last year, but we never made it. Nature also has bears by the way. And skunks.....and....well you get the idea.....

I guess you could use insect repellent but that still wouldn't be good enough for me. I have terrible allergies so I can get bit by a mosquito and it swells up on me and I have to take some allergy medication immediately. Also, if someone would play the disappearing act to be funny I'm not gonna find the humor in it at all and I'm going to be pissed. Basically, I would just be a drag so leave me at home.

Insects aren't too big of a problem if you go in mid spring or mid fall. But sounds like you guys just aren't outdoorsy types. You can always go to a bonfire type deal for a few hours to avoid the overnight part of camping.
As for F13, no it doesn't still scare me.
