Weird. I think it'd be pretty hard to dispute the fact that NOES, TCM, and Halloween are on a completely different and superior level in terms of filmmaking than F13. I can see a strong argument for any of those three, but not much in the way of argument that F13 shouldn't be at the bottom of the list.

For me it's a question of semantics - If you asked me what I thought was the best film, I would say hands down TCM,but when the question is of favouritism it's Friday for sure. In my mind there is a clear difference between best and favourite.

Excellently put, TWD. I have the same feeling myself, that being a better-made film in terms of filmmaking skill and technical proficiency doesn't make it the more enjoyable and entertaining to watch. I'm with you HNT in that F13 isn't a well-made movie technically (the low-budget is incredibly obvious, there's goofs galore and it's not in the slightest above wallowing in errors that really shouldn't be there in the hands of more-skilled technicians) but that hardly means in anything in determining how much fun it is to watch. None of that can overcome the glorious suspense, spectacular gore and thrilling chases that make it the most enjoyable film to watch and my favorite of those films. It's not the best by a long-shot, but that's not the point.

FAir point, guys. I actually agree with you on that. I guess my opinion is colored by the fact that I don't care for Friday that much, which isn't really fair of me.

No worries, man. You've got a fair point as well, and I whole-heartedly agree in fact, but when it comes to these kinds of polls, I don't judge the better of the films, I judge the more enjoyable to watch and that's what it means.

I've always been partial to F13, so I'll go with that one.
