Not a huge fan of the 'superhero' genre really, but I have a few friends that already saw it in theaters and they loved it. So if your into those kind of movies, from what I here, it's pretty damn entertaining. None the less, I do love the old Avengers comics! Great stuff!

I've never been a 'comic nerd' by any means, but I have a passing interest in the Marvel Universe, and have enjoyed most of the movies(except Fantastic Four ugh! ),and Thor is my favourite.

I might have to give this one a chance after hearing some good things. I do love good super hero movies, I just feel most end up being utter crap. I'll put this one to the Iron Man Test: Can it take a superhero I was never particularly interested in or excited by and turn them into something awesome? Of course Iron Man 2 kinda ruined that...

I'm looking forward to it. I like comic book movies, particularly Marvel, for the most part actually, I think they are a lot of fun. Though I have to second Matt's opinion of Fantastic Four.....ugh.

Thanks for adding the pic CT It worked for me in several areas.First off casting - Aussie Chris Hemsworth was a great choice as Thor IMO,and he is ably supported by an interesting list of character actors (Anthony Hopkins,Stellan Sarsgard,Natalie Portman,Ray Stephenson and Colm Feore - who is one of my favourite modern day villains after his turn in Storm of the Century),and a superb director in Kenneth Branagh. But importantly for me,the film spends as much time exploring the Norse legends as it does having Thor be an earthly protector. I'd probably put this a notch above Iron Man as flat out entertainment.Keep watching after the credits too - as there is the obligatory teaser for the next film.

I liked the cast, it looks great and it's very entertaining. Couldn't ask for more really. I can't say that I thought it was as good as Iron Man though. Actually I can think of several comic book movies I like better. I do agree Hemsworth is a great choice as Thor. And I swear I am not just saying that because I was completely charmed by his fantastic smile...... Fun movie.
