My younger sister loves Batman in all kinds (especially the animated TV show that aired a while ago) but she hates Christian Bale so I don't know if I'll get roped along into seeing it as she's not old enough to go by herself. I keep telling her to pay for a PG movie and go into this one, but so far she isn't sold on the idea yet.

Does anybody think Batman will die at the end?

Badges? We don't need no stinkin badges!!!! Oh, and I am actually looking forward to this movie. LOL The Dark Knight was fantastic. Though I feared the hype would kill it for me, it was everything I hoped it would be and more. So I'm definitely looking forward to this as well.

Yeah, that's a lot to live up to. I wouldn't want that pressure on my shoulders! It begs the question, can this one live up to it? Does it need to? If it's not quite as good, can it still be a solid ending to the trilogy?

Nolan hasn't make a movie that I didn't like yet. I thought that Dark Knight and Inception were brilliant. Memento and The Prestige were only ok. I would expect good things from this movie. Nolan had an easy way out of making it if he didn't want to after Ledger's death. I expect it will be very good (though not as good as The Dark Knight because not having the Joker will be a let down)

I hope it's as good as Batman Forever. . I think the Nolan Batman's have completely changed the playing field for comic book movies, and the later Marvel films have been certainly playing on that field. Hopefully this means we never have to endure the likes of Batman and Robin or Fantastic Four again. Now can I have my badge please?

I thought The Dark Knight had a terrible downbeat ending. And I firmly believe that had Heath Ledger not died, the film would not have been the runaway success it was. All these predictions for record breaking boxoffice takings will be way off target.

I thought The Dark Knight had a terrible downbeat ending. I felt that TDK lost a step in the second half but I didn't mind the ending. The fact that it was downbeat reminded me a bit of Empire Strikes Back and I felt it was appropriate for the second in a trilogy. And I firmly believe that had Heath Ledger not died, the film would not have been the runaway success it was. This is probably true, but to what extent, I'm not quite sure. All these predictions for record breaking boxoffice takings will be way off target. You could be right here as well. I just hope it's good, doesn't need to be a record breaker for me to enjoy.

The "prestige" is awesome. That was a quote from Treasure of Sierra MAdre which I thought was pretty appropriate.
