At this point, it would be callous to continue to comment on this movie without at least acknowledging the tragedy in Colorado. I just do not understand people's cruelty to one another. Neither do I. Absolutely terrible. Stinger, that was really my one issue with The Dark Knight, Bale's voice, which is absurdly exaggerated. Doesn't really hurt the movie for me too much, but I do wish they had toned it down a little.

I guess I might be the only person, but I was never bother by "the voice". I'm always bothered in the other super hero movies where they do nothing to disguise themselves and their "secret identities" would be so obvious. It does sound ridiculous but you'd pretty much have to sound ridiculous to completely disguise your voice. It also wouldn't sound so ridiculous when Batman was kicking your ass, it would sound terrifying and that's the intention behind it. I consider it another realistic feature of this version of the Batman story.

Oh I agree with the idea behind it. I do think his voice should be disguised, and it didn't bother me in Batman Begins....I just think they went a little too far with it in The Dark Knight.

Hmm...I feel like agreeing with the idea behind it is the reason it doesn't bother me. And I never noticed a difference between the two, is it louder or used more often in TDK or something?

I can perfectly understand that he has to disguise his voice but its just too drastic for me and I get the giggles. In the older Batman movies with Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, and George Clooney did their voices change much when they became Batman? I haven't watched them in a long time so I don't remember.

They barely changed their voices and that's what always bothered me. Especially considering they were dealing with many of the same people under both identities. Same goes for pretty much every other super hero movie where a secret identity is utilized. That's what's ridiculous to me. Not the Nolan movies doing it right. Okay, so the voice sounds ridiculous but like I said, can you disguise your voice completely without sound ridiculous? If Star War A New Hope came out today I feel like people would be saying The Darth Vader voice is "too much" lol.

I think it was all Bale in Batman Begins, in The Dark Knight it seemed....altered. I'm not sure how. I think they were making it more of a growl. Like he's a crime fighting manbear or something.... And Darth Vader's voice work was done well..... I think the debate is whether or not the voice work in The Dark Knight and Batman Begins was done well or poorly. Personally I think it falls somewhere in between.

Darth Vader's voice is cool I would never complain about that. I just feel like if you can't do it right then don't do it at all. I would probably be a huge fan of these movies if they didn't do such a poor job with the Batman voice.

You could believe that voice was coming from that character, with Bane...it sounded goofy.

Saw it last night, thought it was pretty good. Really liked the ending. I feel like I should probably see it again before I can rate it.

I liked Bane's voice a lot. Very menacing.

I really enjoyed the end. I'm positive he survived because they said he reprogrammed the autopilot. I loved that Blake was really Robin and he inherited the Bat Cave. I would like to see him get his own movie but I've been reading its doubtful. Never say never though.
